Greetings warlords!
Remember the promise we made during the livestream? To stay active, never stop improving, and always keep iterating? Well, we’re holding true to our word. The Lionfire season, launching on September 19th, heralds a new era for Conqueror’s Blade, inspired by none other than Gustav II Adolf, the “Father of Modern Warfare” himself. Just as he revolutionized 17th-century warfare, we’re about to unleash a wave of updates and reforms that will reshape the very foundation of Territory Wars.
Conquering the Past, Building the Future
The Open World and its Territory Wars have witnessed the rise and fall of countless warlords and Houses. It’s a core part of the Conqueror’s Blade experience, and now it’s time for a major evolution. Our goal is clear: to deliver a more enjoyable and engaging Territory War experience for all warlords through impactful content updates and strategic rule adjustments.
No More Slot Blocking: Taking Action Now!
Earlier this month, we addressed the elephant in the room – the long-standing frustration with “Slot Blocking.” Your feedback on the proposed adjustments was heard loud and clear, and we’re happy to confirm that these changes will be officially implemented in the new season of Territory Wars.
This is just the beginning. We’re committed to open communication and taking decisive action on the issues that matter most to you. Expect ongoing adjustments, optimizations, and a constant drive to create a better gaming environment for everyone. Keep that feedback coming!
The King is Present, His Spirit Inspires!
Gustav II Adolf wasn’t just a military genius; he was the “Lion of the North”, a fearless leader who inspired his troops to achieve the unthinkable. From securing his throne at the age of 17 to facing down the might of the Holy Roman Empire, his victories echoed across Europe. And while his star may have fallen too soon at the Battle of Lützen, his legacy of tactical brilliance and unwavering courage lives on.
This legacy is at the heart of the new Territory War battlefield rule: King of the Battlefield!
Here’s how it works:
For Houses:
-
Lead the Charge: When a House Leader enters a Territory War battle, they’ll be marked for all to see. Their presence will inspire all warlords and units from their House on the battlefield, granting them the “King of the Battlefield” buff. This buff increases damage against enemy units, scaling with the House level up to a mighty 10%.
-
Avenge the Fallen: Should a House Leader fall in battle, their sacrifice will not be in vain. An announcement will ring out across the battlefield, and the “King of the Battlefield” buff will transform into the even more potent “Glory and Vengeance” buff. This enhanced buff doubles the damage increase, also scaling with the House level up to a devastating 20%!
The inspiration for this “Damage Buff upon House Leader’s Death” mechanic comes directly from the Battle of Lützen, where the Swedish army, fueled by the rallying cry of “Avenge the King!”, turned the tide and achieved a hard-fought victory.
We know what you’re thinking, House Leaders – “Time to become a glorious, buff-granting sacrifice!” And you know what? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
For Cohorts:
-
Strength in Unity: When a Cohort Commander enters a Territory War battle, they too will be marked, inspiring their comrades. All warlords and units from their Cohort on the battlefield will receive the “King of the Battlefield” buff, increasing their damage against enemy units by a solid 10%.
-
Fight to the Last: If a Cohort Leader falls, their Cohort will lose the “King of the Battlefield” buff. But the fight is far from over!
Gustav’s Legacy: Fueling the War Machine
Gustav II Adolf’s Sweden was a nation forged in iron and driven by innovation. Their abundant copper and iron ore resources fueled a military industrial complex that was ahead of its time. To reflect this, Season 20 brings the following changes:
-
Resource Boom: The reserves and production rate of all Copper and Iron Ore in the Dasuo region will be increased by 20% and 10% respectively.
-
Artillery Primed: The crafting material cost of Field Artillery and Mortars will be reduced by 20%.
-
Mobile Artillery: The Open World movement speed when carrying both a Field Artillery and a Mortar will be increased from 2.8 to 3.5.
An Army Marches on Its Stomach: Logistics Redefined
You may have heard whispers of “supply lines” and “supply depots” from our developers in recent livestreams. Well, those whispers are about to become a reality. Logistics have always been the backbone of any successful military campaign, and Gustav II Adolf knew this better than most. That’s why Supply Line Rules and Supply Depots are coming to Territory Wars in a major way.
We’ll be diving deep into the specifics of these mechanics soon, but for now, just know this: Supply Lines and Supply Depots will add a whole new layer of strategic depth and decision-making to Territory Wars. Keep an eye out for their arrival in the Open World within the next month!
This is Just the Beginning
These changes represent a bold step forward for Territory Wars, inspired by the strategic genius of Gustav II Adolf. But this is just the beginning. We’re committed to continuous improvement, to listening to your feedback, and to making Conqueror’s Blade the best it can be.
Get ready, Warlords. The battlefield is about to change forever.
